Bauer, Daniel – Midshipman 2-C (Service Notes - 1985)

Midshipman 2-C Daniel Bauer received a special award for academic achievement and military excellence at the first Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Battalion (NROTC) formation at Marquette University, Milwaukee, on September 5 from Ken Raub of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).

Bauer received one of only five $750 AFCEA scholarships awarded to NROTC juniors nationwide this year. This award recognizes him as one of the top NROTC engineering majors in the country.

He is a junior electrical engineering student at Marquette and is the son of Fred and Linda Bauer, 1535-108th, Raymond. He is a 1983 graduate of Union Grove High School. Dan is the grandson of Louise Wren of Neillsville.
