On a wedding trip to the Black Hills in S. Dakota are the former Miss Juliann Florence Davel and Gerald Frank Zettler.

The Rev. Father Norbert E. King was officiating clergyman for the 10 o’clock nuptial Mass Saturday morning, Sept. 12, in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.

The bride was presented for marriage by her father.  With Sr. M. Vera Marie as organist the church choir sang the "Ava Maria" and the "Lord’s Prayer".  The Virgin bouquet was white pompoms and blue carnations.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Davel, Loyal, chose a white Peau de soie silk floor length gown styled with chapel train, scalloped Sabrina neckline, with scalloped embroidery on bodice and bouffant skirt.  Her fingertip veil of sheer imported illusion was held by a pearlized orange blossom crown.  Her cascade bouquet was fashioned of pink roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Miss Judy Zettler, Loyal, sister of the groom was maid of honor and Mrs. Thedore Zettler, Loyal, and Mrs. Ronald Davel and Mrs. James Davel of Menasha were bridesmaids.

Their dresses were made of turquoise satin crystalette, with scoop necklines, short sleeves, full skirts, cummerbunds and matching headpieces.  They carried cascade bouquets of white feathered mums, turquoise tinted carnations and pink sweetheart roses.

The flower girl, Victoria Davel, Menasha, niece of the bride, wore a white embroidered nylon gown with turquoise cummerbund and her bouquet was a miniature of the bride’s bouquet.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Zettler, Loyal.  Serving as his best man was his uncle, Theodore Reynolds of Wausau.  His other attendants were his brother, Theodore settler, Loyal and Ronald and James Davel, Menasha, Brothers of the bride.

Richard Bergeman, a cousin of the bride and Frederick Reynolds, another uncle of the groom, ushered.

The bride’s mother wore a lace dress of antique green with pink accessories.  The groom’s mother wore a dress of black velvet and lace with pink accessories.  Their corsages were pink roses.

Both dinner and supper were served in the church hall and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Zettler were both graduates of the Loyal High School.  She has been employed at McCain-Johnson in Marshfield.  He is employed by Lemke’s Milk Products Co. of Wausau.

They will reside at 1010 Grand Ave., Wausau.

Out of town guests were from Greenwood, Neillsville, Stanley, Wausau, Dorchester, Berlin, Milwaukee, Spencer, Wisconsin Rapids, Menasha, Algoma, Abbotsford, Medford, Athens, Oshkosh, Pulaski, Marshfield, Madison, Minneapolis, and Chicago Ill.
