Finck, Shirley Ann (Marriage - 16 October 1965)

Miss Shirley Ann Finck of Slinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Finck, Sr., of Rt. 2 Granton, and Larry L. Kundinger of Slinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kundinger of Wisconsin Rapids, were married Saturday in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Terrance Schelble in St. Vincent de Paul Church in Wisconsin Rapids.

Music was played by Miss Karen Pac, who accompanied Mrs. Nick Kundinger as she sang, "Our Father" and "Ave Maria".

The bride, on the arm of her father, approached the altar attired in a floor length gown of organza, styled with a molded bodice and a modified sheath skirt. A detachable chapel train enhanced the back. The bodice and skirt front were further enhanced with a panel of raffia embroidered Alencon lace. A butterfly veil of nylon illusion was held in place by a crown of crystals and seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums and bronze pompons with autumn colored wheat.

Miss Sally Kundinger, sister of the groom, was maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Marcie Baierl of Slinger and Miss Barbara Przybylski of Hatley. They wore identical willow green floor length semi sheath gowns, fashioned with elbow-length sleeves of self material and a waistline front.  A Watteau train accented their gowns. Bow headpieces held the circular malene veils. Each carried a large gold chrysanthemum with acorns and autumn colored wheat and salad foliage.

James Winkle of Wisconsin Rapids was the bestman.  Groomsmen were Larry Schillinger of Menomonie and Elmer Finck of Granton.  Ushers were Steve Christman of Melrose and Fred Finck, Jr. of Neillsville.

The bride is a 1962 graduate of Neillsville High School, a 1964 graduate of Wood County Teachers College and at tended Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh. She is presently teaching the second grade in the Slinger Community schools.

Mr. Kundinger, a 1961 graduate of Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids, was graduated in 1964 from Wood County Teachers College.  He also attended Wisconsin State University-River Falls.  He teaches the fifth and sixth grades in the Slinger Community School system.

A dinner and reception was held in the Labor Temple in Wisconsin Rapids.

On their return from a short wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. Kundinger will reside at 219 St. Washington Street in Slinger.

They were honored at several showers and a pre-nuptial party given by the Slinger Education Association. The groom’s parents entertained the bride’s parents and members of the wedding party following rehearsal Friday evening.
