Homemakers Council (Fall Meeting - 1965)

 

The Clark County Homemakers fall council meeting, attended by county officers, presidents and secretaries of clubs, was held Monday afternoon in the Clark Electric building.

 

Mrs. Francis Brey of Greenwood presided. The Homemakers Creed was led by Mrs. R. Spiegel of Granton, the pledge of the flag by Mrs. Norbert Friske of Greenwood. The welcome was given by Mrs. Harold Gardner of Greenwood. Ralph Mayer, Clark County farm management agent, gave a talk. Group singing was in charge of Mrs. Rita Stewart of Greenwood.

 

During the business meeting reports were given by Mrs. George Zuehlke of Loyal, secretary; Mrs. Thorwald Frost of Withee, treasurer; Miss Brooks Rector, dairy bar; Mrs. George Lindau, handicapped children; Mrs. Reno Herdrick, scholarship; and Mrs. Henry Vollrath, health.  Miss Rector gave information on program plans.  Mrs. Ben Burkhardt of Thorp reported on "College Week for Women."  "Who’s Who in Purdue," a special report of the national convention in Lafayette, Ind., was given by Mrs. Francis Brey and Mrs. Julia Koci of Greenwood, and Mrs. Emil Luchterhand of Unity.

 

The meeting closed with the prayer creed led by Mrs. Harold Utke of Curtiss.  Guests were greeted at the door by Mrs. Joseph Keating and Mrs. Pat Soderberg of Thorp.
