Kraut, James (16 SEP 1914 - 27 NOV 1963)

 

Monday night Donald, Curtiss, returned home from a hurried trip tot eh west coast where he attended funeral services of a relative.

 

Services were held Saturday, Nov. 29 at the First Methodist Church in Long Beach Calif. for James A. Kraut, 49, who died on the 27th, after being ill for the past two months.  Burial was made at Westminster Memorials Park in Long Beach.

 

James Kraut was born Sept. 16, 1914, at Atwood, Clark County, Wis., and was educated here.  He was a resident of this community for several years, having lived in Owen and employed at the Master Package Corp.  He left here some 30 years ago, moving to the west coast.

 

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Jackie and James of St. Paul, Minn., and Donald of Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Forest (Evelyn) Clark, Missoula, Mont. and Mrs. Viola Law, Marshfield, and a brother, Clifford Kraut of Wichita, Kansas.

 

In flying to the service, Mr. Kraut was joined at Milwaukee by one son, Donald, who accompanied him west, where they were met by Viola Law, who had been with her father for two weeks prior to his death.
