Runge, Marjorie I (24 DEC 1921 - 6 MAR 2012)

Marjorie Isabelle Runge, 90, of Unity, passed away March 6, 2012, at The House of the Dove Hospice in Marshfield.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. Pastor Al Houts will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place at the Colby Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Marjorie was born December 24, 1921 to Elma (Kops) and William "Ike" Hudson in Unity at the corner Hotel owned by her grandparents.

She was a graduate of Unity High School. Marjorie and Harold Runge were united in marriage on August 19, 1939 at ""The Little Brown Church in the Vale" in Iowa. Marjorie and Harold raised their family on the Runge Family Farm outside of Unity.

Marjorie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.

Marjorie's love of family showed in everything she did, and spending time with her family always made her the happiest. She loved cooking and still at age 90 would cook up some pretty delicious meals for her family when asked to do so. Occasionally Marjorie would enjoy taking a road trip to an area casino.

Marjorie is lovingly survived by her children, Dennis "Butch" (Diane) Runge of Hales Corners, Ronnie (Lavonne) Runge of Edgar, Duane "Biff" (JoAnn) Runge of Colby, Susan (Ron) Karsten of Curtiss, Bradley (Kathy) Runge of Ladysmith, and Randy (friend Pam) Runge of Medford. Marjorie is further survived by 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Geraldine Jeske.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; her sister, Dorothy Talcott; her brother, Harold Hudson; her daughter, Nancy Moede; her son-in-law, Orvis "Butch" Moede; and a great-great-grandchild.

The Maurina Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
