Trinity Lutheran Church (13 June 1958)

 

Trinity Lutheran church observed its 75th anniversary with three services Sunday, June 15th and also dedicated its new Education Unit.

 

At the first service at 8 o’clock the Rev. Herman Leschensky of Marathon, Wisconsin, preached the sermon on "Offer Unto God Thanksgiving, and Pay Thy Vows unto the Most High." The Senior choir sang "Crown Him Lord Of All" by L. B. Wilson. Miss Carol Noeldner was the organist.

 

At the second service at 10 o’clock the Rev. John Langholz of Thornton, Iowa, preached a sermon on the text "Wist Ye Not That I Must Be About My Fathers Business." The Junior choir sang, "Praise Ye The Father by Gounod.

 

At the dedication service in the afternoon’s service Dr. Theo Ohlrogge, President of the Wisconsin District of the American Lutheran Church, preached the sermon on "Let us Glory In The Lord." The Junior choir sang God’s House by L. P. Loueks, and the Senior Choir sang "Come Christians Join and Sing by C. F. Mueller. The Senior choir also sang the Benediction for each of the services. Rev. H. C. Milius, President of the Northern Conference of the Wis. District brought greetings.

 

In the afternoon’s service Pastor Pfohl formally dedicated the new Educational Unit to the Glory of Tribune God and consecrated it for furtherance of Christian education.

 

The church was colorfully decorated with bouquets and baskets of flowers. More than a thousand people attended the services and over 500 shared in the fellowship meal at noon time. A 75th Anniversary and Dedication booklet was published for the occasion and are being sold now. Those interested in copies should contact Mrs. Harold Dahl.

 

The Church Council consists of; John Olsen, Chairman; Harold Herdrich, secretary; Carl Myre, financial sec.; Harold Dahl, treasurer; Verland Dux, Herbert Hinkelmann and Romaine Rossow. The members of the building Committee include Romaine Rossow, Chairman; Vern Dahlby, sec.; Philip Capelle. Ferd Gotter, Herman Noeldner, Leonard Noeldner, Norbert Noeldner, Elmer Sterr and Julius Nystad.
