Saturday at 2 p.m., Trinity Lutheran Church of Loyal was the scene of the wedding of Miss LaVonne Ann Neuman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Neuman of route 1, Unity and Gary Levenhagen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Henninger of the town of Sherman. Rev. John Pfohl was the officiating clergyman.

 

Miss Diane Burhop as soloist was accompanied by Miss Carol Noeldner at the organ.

 

The bride escorted by her father approached the altar dressed in a gown of French imported rose point tulle with a fitted bodice buttoned down the back, a Sabrina neck line and long tapered sleeves coming to a point over the wrists. The bouffant skirt was of nylon tulle with lace appliqués and a chapel train trimmed with irridescent sequins and seed pearls. Her French illusion fingertip veil was fastened to a crown of sequins and pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white gardenias with lilies of the valley streamers.

 

Miss Norma Jean Hennniger, sister of the groom, was the maid of honor, dressed in a floor length gown of maize nylon chiffon with a fitted bodice dropped waistline with streamers and a bouffant skirt and a head dress to match.

 

The bridesmaids were Miss Tamsen Blank of Brookfield, a cousin of the bride, Miss Joei Neuman of Unity, a sister of the bride and Mrs. Duane Neuman, sister-in-law of the bride. They wore gowns identical to the maid 0f honor in auqua and all carried bouquets of aqua roses and white gardenias.

 

The best man was Glendon Neuman, brother of the bride, and groomsmen were William Peters, cousin of the groom of McGregor, Iowa, Ronald Bloom, cousin of the bride, of Unity, and Duane Neuman, brother of the bride of Unity.

 

Little Barbara Hien of Owen, cousin of the bride was flower girl dressed similarly to the bride in white nylon tulle and lace with a matching head piece.

 

Eldon Henninger, brother of the groom was ring bearer and carried the rings on a white satin heart shaped pillow.

 

The bride’s mother attended her daughter’s wedding dressed in navy blue with white accessories. The groom’s mother wire a powder blue dress with white accessories and both wore corsages of white gardenias and red roses.

 

A reception followed the ceremony in the church parlors and a dance was held in the evening at the Colby Park Pavillion.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Colby high school and the groom attended Loyal high school. They will live at 915 West Arnold St., Marshfield where the groom is employed at Roddis Plywood Corporation.

 

Guests came from McGregor, Iowa, Monona, Iowa; Milwaukee, Brookfield, Eastman, Spencer, Granton and Willard.
