ZIMMERMAN - KRAUSE WEDDING OCTOBER 11

(Unity News)

Miss Ida L. Krause, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Krause, Sr. of Dorchester, exchanged vows with Sam G. Zimmerman, son of Mrs. Ethan Zimmerman of Unity, at 1:30 Friday afternoon, Oct. 11, 1940 at Salem Evangelical church, Dorchester.  The Rev. R. H. Browe presided at the nuptials.

The bride wore a street-length dress of royal blue transparent velvet trimmed with costume jewelry of the same color, and having a gracefully draped skirt, bodice top, shirred sleeves and high neckline.  Navy blue accessories and a bridal bouquet of mixed flowers complimented her attire.  Her velvet headband, trimmed with velvet flowers, matched her dress.

Miss Birdine Molle of unity served as maid of honor in a deep wine street-length dress with a tight-fitting bodice, a full skirt, and matching costume jewelry.  She wore black accessories and a corsage of mixed flowers.  The bride’s mother chose a navy blue dress with white trim, and the groom’s mother was attired in black.  Mr. Zimmerman was attended by Emanuel Zimmerman of Unity.

Mr. Zimmerman is a graduate of the Unity high school, class of 1934, and Mrs. Zimmerman attended the Dorchester high school.  The latter has been employed in St. Paul and her husband is employed at the Riplinger Cheese Box factory at Riplinger, where they will reside after October 15.  The young couple left immediately after the ceremony on a trip to Duluth.
