  Schindler, Anna (22 April 1886 - 18 July 1959)

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Sebastian Schindler, 73 who died Saturday evening at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.  She had been ill for some time.  The Rev. Norbert King officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.

The former Anna Bowe was born at Tilden on March 13, 1886.  She was married at Tilden on April 22, 1907, to Sebastian Schindler who survives her.  They lived at Tilden until 1928, when they moved to a farm in the Thorp area.  In 1948 they moved to their present farm in the town of Beaver.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic church and St. Mary’s Altar Society.

Surviving are six sons, Kenneth and Elmer, Chicago, Ill.; Fred, Curtiss; James, at home; Edward, Owen; Albert, Milwaukee; five daughters, Marie Schindler and Mrs. Clarence (Leone) Lieske, both of Eau Claire; Bernadette Schindler, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. David (Myra) Varon, Skokie, Ill.; Mrs. Fred (Margaret) Hinkel, Madison; 18 grandchildren; four brothers, Ferdinand, George, Art and Adolph Bowe, all of Chippewa County; four sisters, Mrs. Leona Boos, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs.. Ludwig Zwiefelhofer, Bloomer; Mrs. Henry Boos, Cameron; Mrs. Bernard Butak, Chippewa Falls. A daughter Valerie, died in 1955.
