Sharratt, Nellie (3 October 1909 - 5 June 1965)

 

Funeral services were held from St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Chili Wednesday morning for Mrs. Roland (Nellie) Sharratt, 55, who died late Saturday in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield of complications.  Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Neillsville.  The Rev. Carroll Walljasper was in charge of the service.

 

Mrs. Sharratt had been in poor health for the last six months.  The former Nellie Peters, she was born October 3, 1909, in Chili and received her formal education there.

 

Her marriage took place on May 5, 1942, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville. Shortly afterward the couple farmed south of Granton for about five years; then moved to Chili, where they operated a farm and machinery business.  Mr. Sharratt later entered the trailer and bedding business.

 

Mrs. Sharratt was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and of its altar society.

 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Eugene, and a daughter, Barbara, both of Chili; a sister, Mrs. Vernon Berg of South Gate, Calif.; and two brothers, John Peters of Chili, and Frank Peters of Stayton, Ore.
