Haas, Raphael (26 Nov 1900-02 May 1958)

 

Raphael Haas, 57, died in the St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, at 5:45 p.m. Friday, May 2 after an illness of six weeks.

 

Raphael, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Haas, was born in Mazomanie November 26, 1900.

 

In 1909 he came to Loyal with his parents and settled on the farm just north of Loyal. This remained his home until his death.

 

He received most of his education in St. Anthony’s parish school in Loyal.

 

On June 3, 1930 he was married to Florence Bremer of Minneapolis.

 

He is survived by his wife and four daughters: Mrs. Donald (Geraldine) Rowley, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Duane (Margie) Stutte, Loyal; and Mary and Luanne at home. Two grandchildren, and one sister, Miss Bernetta Haas, Loyal and one brother, Alfred Haas of Seattle, Wash., also survives him.

 

A sister preceded him in death.

 

He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and the Knights of Columbus.

 

A.K. C. Rosary was read, Sunday evening and a general Rosary was read Monday evening.
