The Auxiliary to Our Boys in Service met at the Red Cross room at the armory Tuesday evening. A report of the boys having birthdays in January was read. Cards are sent each month, so if your boy is having a birthday in February and isn’t listed on the filed of the Auxiliary, you are asked to call either Mrs. Louis Kauffman or Mrs. Calvin Hills.

Those overseas to whom cards were sent included: Robert Bates, Victor Boss, Richard Brown, Wiliam Dolan, Robert Griffiths, Lorris Johnson, Richard Jovlivette, Raymond Kadonsky, Malcom Larson and Wendalin Schommer.

Cards for the January birthdays of those in this country went to Lewis Goldamer, George Garbrecht, Norman Kalepp, Gilbert Kattre and John Wing.

Letters coming, replies of thanks and appreciation for boxes received at Christmas were also read.

From Germany came letters from Pvt. Warren Phaneuf, stating the package arrived in good condition; Pfc. Vernon Gosse, who was in a part of Germany where there is no snow a the time, and Sgt. Gilbert Fink.

From France, T/Sgt. Len Colby says, "The cheese was very lovely, if you doubt my word, ask anybody in Hq. Btry of the 173rd F. A. Group.

Pvt. Myron Greaser was seeing plenty of snow on Jan. 21 but prefers the home state to France. Cpl. Ralph Bargenquast received both of his packages. Cpl. Gordon Heggesta is living in a house in a small town in France, which is also occupied by a family with a small boy and girl.
