Smith, Janice Kay #2 (07 Mar. 1959)

 

The Methodist Church in Neillsville was the scene of the one o’clock wedding on Saturday, March 7, of Miss Janice Kay Smith, daughter of James A. Smith and Edward L. Phillips, son of Mrs. Viola Phillips, all of Loyal, R. 2.  The Rev. Virgil Holmes officiated at the nuptial service.

Miss Hazel Schwanib of Neillsville, a cousin of the groom, was the bride’s maid of honor and Fredrick Elmhorst of Loyal served his friend as best man.

The bride wore a beige suit, a clip hat of beige and green flowers, and brown accessories.

Her corsage was an orchid surrounded with white baby mums.

Her bridesmaid wore a navy blue suit with white accessories and white carnations edged with pink made her corsage.

The groom’s mother wore an aqua dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.

A wedding supper for the immediate family was given at the Hickory Pit at Marshfield.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School. The groom attended the Loyal High School.  He was in the Marines from 1954 to 1956.  He is employed at the Jack Mullins Cheese Factory.

When the new Mr. and Mrs. Phillips return from a honeymoon in southern Wisconsin they will make their home on R. 2, Loyal.
