Robinson, Myrtle D. (2 November 1891 - 12 August 1964)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Neillsville Methodist Church for Mrs. Myrtle D. Robinson, 93, of Neillsville, who died here August 12. The Rev. Oscar Nichols of the Methodist Church officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

 

The former Myrtle Hoteling was born May 13, 1871, in Jefferson.  She came with her family to Clark County, where she attended rural schools, and was a graduate of Neillsville High School.  She taught school for several years.

 

On November 2, 1891, she was married to the late Earl Robinson. They farmed in the Town of Weston, near Christie, until 1930, when they moved to Neillsville.  For the last few years Mrs. Robinson had made her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Robinson.  Mr. Robinson died in 1932.

 

She is survived by a son, Glenn, of Neillsville; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Berris) Sonnenberg of Renton, Wash.; a grandson, Ronald Woods of Chicago; and a great-grandchild.

 

Mrs. Robinson was a member of Carmi Chapter, No. 60, Order of Eastern Star, of Neillsville.  Eastern Star services were conducted Friday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers were Ed Silkey, John Trogner, George Shaw, William Weast, Clarence Bardell and William Jake, Sr.

 

"Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Beyond the Sunset" were sung by Ellis Wall, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

People from out of town attending were: Mrs. Raymond Sonnenberg of Renton, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Woods and son of Chicago, Ill.; Christ Brick of Greenwood; Mrs. Constance Jones of St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gilbertson of Ellsworth; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gilbertson and Ray Rackey of Beldonville; and Mr. and Mrs. Seth Gilbertson of River Falls.
