Miss Bernice Ann Darling, Washington D.C., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Darling, Rochester, Ind., became the bride of John R. Mrotek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mrotek, Loyal, at a 2:30 o’clock ceremony on March 22 at the Dulin Methodist Church, Falls Church, Va.

 

The Rev. Richard M. Robertson officiated at the ceremony during which the bride was given in marriage by her father.

Baskets of white gladioli, tulips and snapdragons decorated the church.

 

The bride’s gown was fashioned with a chantilly lace bodice featured an Italian neckline and a nylon tulle skirt over satin. Her finger-tip length veil of nylon tulle fell from an opalite crown headpiece. She carried an arrangement of white orchids and stephanotis on a white bible.

 

Mrs. Russell G. Thomas, Washington D.C. was matron of honor at the double ring ceremony. She wore a princess style, burgundy-colored, silk, floor-length dress. Her headpiece was a tiara of pale green rose buds and her bouquet was a pale green rose cascade arrangements.

 

Russell G. Thomas, Washington, D.C., was best man.

 

A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thomas with Mrs. Virgil Darling and Miss Shirley Zartman assisted the host and hostess.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Rochester High School and is employed as a secretary in the Navy Department in Washington.  Mr. Mrotek is a graduate of Loyal High School and is enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

 

The couple will make their home at 22 E. Cresant Road, Greenbelt. Md.
