Reineck, Margaret Rose (Marriage - 25 July 1964)

Marriage vows were exchanged Saturday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville by Miss Margaret Rose Reineck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reineck of Neillsville and LaVern Mayer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mayer of Humbird. The Rev. Bernard T. Kelly officiated.  Bouquets of white gladioli and roses adorned the altar.

Mrs. Glenn Short presided at the organ and was accompanied by the choir of St. Mary’s School.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.  She chose a gown of imported Chantilly lace over bridal taffeta, featuring a scalloped neckline trimmed with iridescent sequins. Long sleeves of imported Chantilly lace buttoned at the wrist. From the fitted bodice cascaded tiers of hand clipped Chantilly lace over tulle, forming a very large bouffant skirt, which was completed with a chapel train. She wore a head piece of pearls and Swiss imported crystals to which were attached a bouffant veil of bridal illusion. She carried a bridal bouquet of American Beauty roses with white stephanotis, entwined with green ivy.

He bridal aides were Mrs. Harold Mayer of Cudahy, matron of honor; Linda Reineck of Alma Center, and Mrs. Paul Mayer of Lowell, Ind., bridesmaids.  They were attired in ballerina length dresses of orchid nylon chiffon over taffeta.  The dresses featured cap sleeves, round necklines and cummerbunds. Elbow-length gloves completed their attire.  They carried white lace fans of pink rose buds and feathered carnations.

Paul Mayer of Lowell, Ind., was bestman.  Groomsmen were Randy Reineck of Neillsville, and David Mayer of Humbird. Ushers were Lowell Gesche and Harold Kaiser.

Doris and Jeffery Mayer was flower girl and ring bearer.

The day’s events consisted of a wedding dinner in St. Mary’s church parlors, a reception at the bride’s home and a dance in the evening.

The bride is a graduate of the 1959 class of the Neillsville High School and has been employed in a local store for the last five years.  My Mayer was graduated in 1952 from Alma Center Lincoln High School, and in 1956 from Wisconsin State College, River Falls.

On their return from a western wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Mayer will reside at 1105 Bruley St., Neillsville.
