  Christman, John A (21 May 1920 - 3 Jan. 1959)

John A. Christman, 38, son of Mr. Peter Christman and the late Mrs. Peter (Bessie) Christman died in Santa Rosa, Calif., Jan. 3.

John Christman was never married.  He was a member of the Army Air Force in World War II.

His body was returned to Loyal and funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Myre Funeral Home.

The Rev. Father King officiated and internment was in the Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joseph, Richard and Lawrence Esselman, all of Loyal.  Richard Andraska, Jesse Raab and Donald Rudell, Wausau.

Attending the rites from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rudell, Wausau, and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Christman, Green Bay.

Surviving are his father Peter Christman, Spencer, and the following brothers and sisters:  Baltus Christman, Tampa, Florida; Mrs. Harry (Caroline) Frez, Seattle Wash.;  Anthony, Caledonia, Minn.; Joe and Gilbert, both of Dubuque, Iowa; Michael, Green Bay; and Mrs. Don (Mary) Rudell, Wausau.  A brother, Peter, preceded him in death as well as his mother who died in 1929.
