Funeral services for Adolph Kurz, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 22 in Trinity Lutheran Church.  Rev. John Pfohl will officiate and burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.

The body reposed in state at the Myre Funeral Home until Thursday noon when it was taken to the church.

Adolph Kurz was born in Austria March 9, 1878.  He came to the United States in 1900 and settled in Massachusetts.  He was married to Anna Thienert in Holyoke, Mass., in 1903.  In 1910 the family moved to Wisconsin and settled in the town of McMillan.  In 1917 he moved to the town of Sherman where he spend the remainder of his life.  Twenty-seven years ago he moved to his present farm home with his son Philip.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Mrs. Kurz died Dec. 25, 1955.

Surviving are two sons, Philip and John of Spencer, Route 2; three daughters: Mrs. Julius (Anna) Ehlert, Loyal; Mrs. Henry (Bertha) Schender, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mrs. Harry (Frieda) Anderson, Chelsea; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, John of East Hampton, Mass. and one sister, Barbara of Austria.

Three brothers and one sister are deceased.
