Schaeffner, Edward (21 APR 1880-07 DEC 1957)

 

Edward A. Schaeffner, 77, died ay 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, in Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, where he had been a patient for a few days. Death was the result of old age complications.

 

He was born in Loyal, April 21, 1880. He was married to Clara Kehrberg at Loyal, Sept. 26, 1917. She died in Dec. 1938.

 

He was a farmer in the town of Loyal until 10 years ago when he retired to make his home with relatives.

 

The body was taken to Trinity Lutheran Church from the Myer Funeral Home at noon Tuesday and funeral services were held there at 2 p.m. The Rev. John Pfohl conducted the services. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

 

Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. John (Clara) Lindner, Loyal; Mrs. John (Helen) Young, Stanley; Mrs. Oscar (Mary) Jahr, Rialto, Calif.; and Mrs. Emil (Hannah) Lemke, Middleton; and one brother, William Schaeffner, Bonner’s Ferry, Idaho.

 

One brother, Charles, preceded him in death and one sister, Mrs. Oscar (Martha) Ratzburg.
