Miss Iris Sylvia Steffen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Steffen of Colby, and Orlo I. Furman, son of Mrs. Ray Furman of Loyal, were married Friday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m., in the Immanuel Lutheran Parsonage of Marshfield by the Rev. G. M. Krueger.

 

The bride wore a blue sheath dress with white accessories. Her flowers were a nosegay of red roses and swansonia. She chose for her matron of honor, her sister, Mrs. James Hallowell.

 

Mrs. Hallowell wore a navy blue dress with white accessories and a corsage of red and white roses.

 

Serving Mr. Furman as best man was James Hallowell, brother-in-law of the bride.

 

Both the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom wore navy blue dresses with white accessories.

 

A reception at 2:30 at the home of the bride’s patents followed the marriage service; the guests were members of the families.

 

The bride who taught school in Clark County for several years, is a graduate of the Loyal High School and Taylor County Normal. The groom attended the College of Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

 

Following a honeymoon in various places in Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Furman will reside on a farm on route 2, Loyal.

 

Guests were from Fall Creek, Milwaukee, Rochester, Minn., Riplinger, Colby and Loyal.
