Bjorn, Jenny S. (2 SEP 1961)

St. Paul’s Church of Evanston, Ill. was the setting on Saturday the second of September for the wedding of Miss Jenny S. Bjorn, Chicago, Ill., daughter of Mrs. Sophia Bjorn, and James D. Leonhardt, Chicago, son of Mrs. Marie Leonhardt, Chicago.

Lighted tapers and white gladioli decorated the altar of the late afternoon ceremony officiated by Rev. Ernest M. Ness.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Martin Mannisto, had chosen a dress of light cocoa chiffon with matching accessories, her corsage was a white orchid.  The couple was attended by a matron of honor and best man.  They were Mrs. Donald Fredbeck (Elvira), sister of the bride, and Mr. Charles Lindberg, Chicago, a friend of the groom.  Mrs. Fredbeck wore a powder blue sheath with accessories to match and a corsage of white carnations and yellow tea roses.  The groom and his best man were attired in dark business suits.  Mrs. Maurice Fredbeck of Waukegan sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Because."  Usher was Donald Fredbeck, also of Waukegan.

Corsages of white and red roses completed the outfits of the bride’s and groom’s mothers, Mrs. Bjorn in navy blue with white accent, and Mrs. Leonhardt in a royal blue ensemble.

A reception immediately following was attended by numerous friends and relatives with Mrs. Maurice Fredbeck and the sisters of the bride, Mrs. Joseph Wenta of St. Joseph, Ill, and Mrs. Martin Mannisto of Marengo, serving.
