Bjorn, Sylvia #3 (28 AUG 1909 - 9 AUG 1961)

 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Ensio Bjorn, 51, who passed away suddenly at her home, apparently of a heart attack, Aug. 9th, 1961.  Services were held at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home with Rev. Bessonen officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Matt Bombach, Toivo Makovec, Charles Hautamaki, Pete Jensen, Charles Karye and Einar Finnila.

 

The deceased, nee Sylvia Hannah Winamaki, was born Aug. 28, 1909 in this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), where she had resided all of her life.  Dec. 10, 1935 she was united in marriage to Ensio Bjorn, who survives her, along with one son, Rodney.

 

Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Edith) Humo, Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. William (Ella) Kangas, Owen; and Mrs. Marvin (Mamie) Salmi, Milwaukee; two brothers, Wayne Winamaki, Healdsburg, Calif., and Ralph Winamaki, now serving the United States Army.
