Wigstadt, Dorothy G. (24 JUN 1961)

Miss Dorothy Grace Wigstadt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wigstadt, route 1, Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.), and Ronald Frank Baumgartner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Baumgartner, rt. 2, Owen, were married at 10:00 o’clock a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 1961, by the Rev. Wilfred Fries in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville.  Miss Helen Bestemeier was organist.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over nylon tulle and taffeta styled by a scalloped Sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins and pearls, a fitted bodice, long tapered sleeves, and a bouffant lace skirt with tiers of nylon sheer ruffles extending down the back.  Her fingertip veil of imported tulle with a hand rolled edge was attached to a crown of seed pearls and rhinestones.  She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Leander Blume, Medford, and bridesmaids were Miss Linda Wigstadt, Dorchester, Miss Bonnie Fischer, Curtiss, and Miss Lucy Zarins, Withee.  Miss Debra Wieth, Dorchester, was junior bridesmaid, and Fay Blume and Brian Krug were flower girl and ring bearer.

Mrs. Blume wore a dress of blue lace over taffeta trimmed in sheer nylon and a rhinestone headpiece.  She carried a bouquet of blue carnations.  The bridesmaids wore identically styled gowns of white lace over taffeta in colors of lilac, yellow and green.  They all wore rhinestone headpieces and carried bouquets of carnations to match their gowns.  The junior bridesmaid and flower girl wore identical gowns of white lace, nylon tulle, and taffeta with white lace hats and all carried bouquets of white and blue carnations.

The groom’s attendants were James Pierce, Merrimac, best man, Ronald Hamm, Medford, and Kenneth Langteau, Medford, groomsmen, and Rodney Baumgartner, junior groomsman.  Ushers were John Harris, David Baumgartner, Dan Wigstadt, and Robert Harris.

Following the wedding there was a reception at the church.

The groom is engaged in construction work and following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home at route 2, Owen.
