Haire, Dr. Edna #2 (14 APR 1886 - 1 FEB 1961)

Friends and relatives of Dr. Edna H. Haire were shocked when they learned of her death late a week ago last Wednesday evening.  Her death was unexpected and sudden when she succumbed to a heart attack at her home in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Funeral services were ehld here at 1:00 Tuesday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Claybaugh of the First Congregational Church officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Phil and Henry Laube, Gordon Thorson, S.E. Grimes, Edgar Albert and Lucius Bowen.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James G. Haire.  She was born April 14, 1886 at Port Byron, Ill., and had attained the age of 74 years.

During the service vocal selections were sung by Mrs. Donald Marshal, with Mrs. Pete Christophersen accompanying at the organ.

After graduating from college she followed her interest in music, having studied in Germany and Italy.  Up to the time of her passing she still realized great comfort and relaxation in her music, in addition to enjoying her practice as a masseuse.

She is survived by two brothers, Herbert Haire, Minneapolis, Minn., and Roland Haire of Owen.

Friends and relatives attended the funeral from Minneapolis, Colby, Withee, Thorp and Prairie du Chien, Wis.
