Bryan, Judy Jean (Marriage - 26 October 1963)

Judy June Bryan of Madison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Bryan of Rt. 2, Neillsville, became the bride of Theodore G. Ampe of Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore E. Ampe of Neillsville, in a double ring ceremony performed last Saturday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church here. The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly performed the ceremony in a church decorated with gold, bronze and white chrysanthemums.

The bride approached the altar on the arm of her father. She was attired in a floor-length white sheath with detachable, long train, The sheath was of silk, with a white pearl rose design on the bodice, and the dress had full-length sleeves. Her crown was a cluster of small, white pearl flowers. She wore a fingertip veil with hand-rolled edges, and carried a bouquet of white and yellow roses, white spider ‘mums and ivy.

She chose as her matron-of-honor, Mrs. Ronald Yankee of Beloit, a sister; and a sister of the groom, Mrs. John Nowak of Milwaukee, served as bridesmaid. Serving as bestman was Gerald Ampe, brother of the groom.

Nuptial music was furnished by the girl’s choir of St. Mary’s School, with Sister Mary Enrico at the organ.

A reception for 150 guests followed the wedding in the American Legion Hall. A seven-tiered wedding cake was made by the bride.

The new Mrs. Ampe is a graduate of Neillsville High School, with the class of 1962. She has been employed in the public service commission in Madison.

Also a 1962 graduate of Neillsville High School, the groom is presently employed by Allen-Bradley Company in Milwaukee.

The Newlyweds left on a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin.  They will be at home after November 1, at 704 E. Mason Street, Milwaukee.
