Fuller, John (9 MAY 1844 - 15 APR 1913)

Death’s final summons came very suddenly and unexpectedly to John Fuller Tuesday evening, April 15, 1913, as he was at the barn engaged with milking his cow.  His wife following him there, found him death beside the animal.  Death apparently was instantaneous.  A physician was immediately summoned and he expressed the opinion that Mr. Fuller was dead before he struck the floor.

The funeral was held from the Adventist Church here Thursday morning, Wilson Mallory of Stevens Point officiating.  Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Beside the body of his first wife who died in 1894.

Deceased was born in Hartford, Vermont, May 9^th, 1844 and came to Wisconsin with his parents when he was a lad of 17 years old.  At the age of 21 he enlisted in the Civil War and served until the close of the war.  After returning from the war he married Miss Jane Short and resided in the town of Washburn (Clark Co., Wis.) until her death in 1894.  In 1899 he married Mrs. Elizabeth Breed, with whom he spent the remainder of his life.  She along survives him.  The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved wife in her sorrow.
