Riphenburg, Belle (27 June 1882 - August 1963)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Belle Riphenburg, 81, of Rt. 3, Neillsville, were held Friday afternoon from the United Church of Christ in Neillsville.  The Rev. W. C. Koehler officiated and burial was made in the Osseo Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Riphenburg was born June 27, 1882, in Osseo, where she received her education.  On February 25, 1909, she was married to Hiram Riphenburg in Whitehall.  They moved to North Dakota, where they farmed for a few years before returning to Osseo.  Later they moved to Clark County and farmed in the towns of York and Levis.

Mr. Riphenburg died in 1957. 

 

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Albert (Mary) Bliven and Mrs. Arthur (Dorothy) Ehlers, both of Neillsville, and Mrs. Harley (Clara) Schultz of Hampshire, Ill; two sons, Floyd of Racine and Nathan of Neillsville.  Other survivors are 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were: Elmer Buddenhagen, Jas. A. Musil, Charles Foote, Bertie Schultz, Ray Kutsche and Archie Schultz.   Ellis Wall accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott, sang, "In the Garden" and "What a Friend".

Ross, Violet and Lorraine Ross, Margaret Riphenburg, Art Kenmore, Mrs. Mike DeBow and Vilas Borquordt, all of Osseo;  Mr. and Mrs. S. G.
