Lockbaum, Louise (11 OCT 1869 - 17 MAY 1959)

 

Last rites were conducted by Rev. Herbert Hoffman at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thorp at 9:30 o’clock Wednesday morning, May 20th, 1959, for Mrs. Louis Lockbaum, who passed away at her farm home in the Township of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) on May 17th, 1959 as a result of a paralytic stroke suffered several weeks ago.  She had reached the ripe old age of eighty-nine years and was a resident of this community for fifty-one years.

 

The deceased was born in Neenah, Wis., on Oct. 11, 1869 and was united in marriage there to Jacob Lockbaum in 1895.

 

She came to thorp with her husband and family in 1908 and located on a farm in the Town of Reseburg.  Her husband died in 1945.

 

Surviving are three sons, George of Chippewa Falls and William and Michael of Thorp; five daughters, Mrs. Albert Turenne and Elizabeth Lockbaum of Thorp, Mrs. Norman Roen of Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Fred Cribley and Bunny Lockbaum of Mobridge, S.D.; 21 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

 

She was laid to rest in St. Bernard’s Parish Cemetery.  Pallbearers were George, William and Michael Lockbaum, Albert Turenne, Norman Roen and Fred Cribley.

 

Relative from out of town who were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. Louise Lockbaum on May 20th were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Lockbaum, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Roen, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lanners, Mrs. Art Roen, Mrs. Helen Christenson, Mrs. Ted Hoeft, Mrs. Molly Roycraft, Mrs. George Gannon, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Patience, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hart and family, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lockbaum and Mr. and Mrs. Les Barquist of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Chas. Sorenson, Mrs. Marvin Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sorenson of Green Bay, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cribley of Mobridge, S.D.
