Christman, Martha Ellen (Marriage - 29 June 1963)

 

Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen was the scene June 29 of the wedding of Miss Martha Ellen Christman of Owen and Edwin Erling Jensen.  Their parents are Claire Christman of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Jensen of Longwood.  The Rev. Fr. H. L. Crubel performed the nuptial ceremony before an altar adorned with baskets of yellow and white gladioli on the front altar.  Bouquets of mock apple blossoms and peonies were on the side altars.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin street length dress, styled with a scalloped neckline and three-quarter length sleeves. A white bouffant veil was attached to a crown headpiece. The bridal bouquet consisted of yellow roses and white carnations.

 

Miss Irene Christman served her sister as maid-of-honor.  Bridesmaid was Miss Connie Engel of Minneapolis, Minn.

 

Donald Christman of Sharon, Pa., was bestman. Groomsman was Dick Cattanach, and ushers were Lyle Bulgrin and Richard Miller.  A reception was held at the groom’s home in Longwood.

 

The bride and groom are both graduates of the Owen-Withee High School.  Mr. Jensen was graduated from an Eau Claire barbering school and is engaged in the barbering business in Wausau.
