Pleasant Ridge (27 June 1963)

 

Mrs. Carl Gerold and daughter, Mrs. Robert Schreiner of Port Washington, and Mrs. Edna Ketel of Neillsville, were Thursday afternoon guests at the Mrs. Robert Drescher home.

 

Jim Eisentraut of Rockford, Ill., spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eisentraut.  He was accompanied by Herb Schoenherr of Rockford, who spent the weekend with his parents in the Town of Levis.

 

Miss Shirley Magnuson of Minneapolis, Minn., was a weekend guest at the Alfred Magnuson home. She spent Sunday afternoon with the Earl Magnuson family.

 

Kathy Jones of Beloit is spending two weeks with her uncles, Bob and Jesse Marty, and their families, and with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Casper Marty, in Neillsville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schunke of Black River Falls were Sunday guests of their daughter, Mrs. Earl Magnuson and her family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Braatz and daughter, and Miss Sarah Mallory of Eau Claire, were recent visitors at the Henry Lucht home in Wausau.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huckstead have returned from a visit with their daughter, Mrs. Howard Murphy and her family in Montgomery, Minn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Kuechenmeister presented their infant son, Monty Carl, for baptism Sunday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Norman Lindloff.  Sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Garbisch of Granton.  Mr. and Mrs. Kuechenmeister entertained at dinner in honor of their son.  Guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Garbisch of Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderegg and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Anderegg and son of Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kuechenmeister of Neillsville.

 

Sunday visitors at the Blackman home were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kuehlmann of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell and grandchildren.

 

Victor Smith of Gary, Ind., spent a few days last week with Mrs. Rudolph Suckow and with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Suckow, in Neillsville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Kuechenmeister and daughter of Highland Park, Ill. returned home Sunday after spending a week at the Ernest Kuechenmeister home

 

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Short and two of their children flew Friday to Milwaukee and were accompanied home by Mrs. Minnie Krueger, who attended the funeral services for her brother, Oscar Hantke.
