Mrs. Wm. King died last week Thursday.  Her death was the result of apoplexy.  The funeral was held from the Pleasant Ridge Church Sunday, the M.E. Minister of Neillsville officiating.

Alfred Drescher, heedless of its being his 36th birthday, had retired to bed only to be hauled out of same by a male quartet of his neighbors who, with their wives and a big bunch of others, arrived at 8 that evening and saw the affair celebrated as the occasion demanded.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kurth, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Braatz and baby Leonard, Mrs. Alfred Drescher, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hantke and sons Leo and Reuben spent Sunday at Clemens Kuechenmeister’s.

Mrs. Aug. Scholtz Sr., who underwent an operation upon one of her eyes at Milwaukee some weeks ago, has happily regained the sight thereof.

School district No. 5 with Miss Ethel Alton as teacher will give a school exhibition Saturday evening Feb. 22nd at the town hall.  A 10 cent fee will be charge to all over 12 years of age.  The proceeds will go to school purposes.
