Rowley, Geraldine (01 OCT 1931-29 SEPT 2011)

 

Geraldine M. :Gerry" Rowley, 79, Marshfield, formerly of Loyal, died on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Miller Alternative Care, Marshfield, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. William Felix officiated. Burial followed in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jacob Rowley, Scott Wittman, Adam Wittman, Gary Wittman, Rich Neureuther and Bob Augustin.

 

Geraldine Mae Haas was born on Oct. 1, 1931 in Loyal, the daughter of Raphael and Florence (nee Bremer) Haas. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in the Loyal area, graduating from Loyal High School in 1949. She married Donald G. Rowley on April 27, 1950, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Loyal. They moved several times over the next 16 years due to her husband’s career in the U.S. Air Force. After his discharge, they moved back to Loyal to live and continue to raise their family. She worked at Wick Manufacturing, Spencer, until the late 1970s. Her husband died on Feb. 7, 2006. She moved to Marshfield after his death and resided there since. She had many interests, but especially enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, bowling, snowmobiling and traveling with her husband. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Royal American Legion Auxiliary.

 

She will dearly missed by her five children, Sandra (Bob) Augustin, Hewitt, Judy (Rich) Neureuther, New Berlin, James Rowley, Marshfield, Donna (Gary) Wittman, Marshfield, and Pam (Dickie) Garcia, Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margie (Duane) Stutte, Oconomowoc, Mary (Gary) Carstens, Lincoln, Neb., and Luanne (Rick) Demberger, Springfield, N.J.; a sister-in-law, Ilene (Bud) Schlinsog, Kenosha; and many  nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donald.
