Henderson, Lou Ellen (Marriage –23 February 1963)

Wedding vows were exchanged February 23 in Elba, Ala., uniting in marriage, Miss Lou Ellen Henderson of that city and Lester Finder, son of Mrs. Louie Finder of Neillsville.  A double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Welby Bozeman of the Westside Baptist Church in the home of the bride’s brother.

The candlelight service was performed under an arch decorated with white gladioli and chrysanthemums and yellow daffodils complete with a white satin-covered kneeling bench. 

The bride was attired in a white street length dress of Pima chiffon, styled with a full, pleated skirt. The bodice was accented with vertical tucks and lace flowers. A scalloped, short blush veil was secured by a head piece of sequins and pearls. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and flowing ribbons over a white Bible.

Miss Bettie Finder of Neillsville was the maid of honor; and serving as bridesmaid was Mrs. Duane Kellner of Elba.  Bestman was Gerald Henderson and groomsman was Waylon Henderson, both of Elba.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s brother.  The bride has been employed in the textile industry in Troy, Ala., and Mr. Finder is doing carpenter work. They are residing at McCall’s, Apt. 2 Alba.

Mrs. Louie Finer and daughter, Bettie of Neillsville attended the wedding.
