A requiem high mass was read Tuesday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic Church for Miss Sophia Szaflarski, 63, formerly of the Town of Levis, who died February 11, in Chippewa Falls, where she had been since 1947.  The Rev. Fr. Bernard T. Kelly officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Miss Szaflarski, daughter of the late George and Marie (Zawadski) Szaflarski, was born January 29, 1900, in Poland.  She came with her parents to Minneapolis, Minn., as a small girl. They lived there until 1920, when the family moved to the Town of Levis.

She is survived by two brothers, John and Louis of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew (Marie) Zemien and Mrs. Angeline Guminga of Minneapolis, Minn.

Pallbearers were: Frank Dobes, Ervin and Ed Holub, Jess Scott, Ernest Ulrich and Andrew Zemien.

Out of town people here for the service were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Zemien and Mrs. Angeline Guminga, all of Minneapolis; and John Szaflarski of Chicago, Ill.
