O’Brien, Sadie P. (19 JAN 1918 - 16 MAY 1998)

 

Sadie O’Brien, age 80, of Neillsville (Clark Co.), Wis., died Saturday, May 16, 1998 at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

 

Sadie Pearl O’Brien was born on Jan. 19, 1918 in Neillsville, Wis., the daughter of Ferdinand and Ann (Bub) Kuester.  She attended a small country school north of Neillsville through the eighth grade.  On Nov. 20, 1935 she was united in marriage to Harold T. O’Brien.  They lived most of their lives in Neillsville, spent some time in Milwaukee and Eagle River, Wis. and then returned to Neillsville, where they have lived for the past ten years.

 

She is survived by her husband, Harold; three sons: Jerry (Barbara) O’Brien of Horseshoe Bend, Ariz.;, Gene (Caroline) O’Brien of Delafield, Wis., and Jack (Mary) O’Brien of Colliersville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two sisters: Annie Zabler of West Allis, Wis., and Beulah Landerman of Kenosha, Wis.

 

Sadie was preceded in death by five sisters: Mable, Ella, Isabelle, Minnie and Amanda; one brother, Roman; and her parents.

 

A memorial service for Sadie will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 22, 1998 at the United Church of Christ.  Pastor Gen Lackore will officiate.  Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday at the church.

 

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Sadie’s family with arrangements.
