Chili (7 October 1910)

R. Ebert our blacksmith moved into A. Kampin’s house a mile west of here.  He could not find any more room to live in Chili.  Houses are not to be had any more.  There is another family that has to move out on account of not having an empty house here, that is Mrs. E. Hollenbach and children. They will move to Athens where Mr. Hollenbach is employed as section foreman.

H. Degener shipped out a car of potatoes. The next car will be shipped the first part of the week; Loading days from Monday to Wednesday.  Call Degener up by phone for prices.

The potatoes on an average are very nice and even this year, mostly good large size, especially the rurals.

Mrs. Henry Prust arrived Tuesday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Cattanah before the latter move away from here.

Dick Mundt had an auction Wed.  There was quite a crowd to see what could be bought.

H. Koser went to Marshfield and Neillsville Wednesday and Thursday.

The amount of poultry raised in this country is growing from year to year.  Where there used to be one chicken 10 years ago there will be found ten now.  There is money in poultry if followed up in the right way.

H. Montag is taking his summer vacation now.  He went out in the country the first day and went to Marshfield Tuesday, going home Wed.

We understand that H. Koser is offering his farm for sale.  There is a good chance for a good farm.

For sale at a bargain; 2 second hand organs and one new piano and player; Call on H. Koser
