Appleyard, Mayme (11 Jun 1914)

Last Thursday evening the marriage of Miss Mayme Appleyard and Arthur Imig was solemnized at the home of the bride’s parents.  Rev. Risser performed the ceremony and the bride and groom were attended by Wm. Imig and Miss Fannie Appleyard.  The bride wore white chiffon over silk and carried a bridal bouquet of roses.  Mendelshon’s Wedding marching was played by Miss Amelia Imig.  The house was beautifully decorated with ferns and carnations.  After the ceremony a three course luncheon was served.  Only the immediate relatives of the young couple were present at the event and Mr. and Mrs. Imig left on the midnight train for a brief wedding trip before taking up housekeeping.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Appleyard, a graduate of the high school, and a most capable and pleasant young lady.  Mr. Imig is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hy. Imig.  He is one of Clark County’s most up-to-date young farmers, being a graduate of the state agricultural school and being foremost in every movement which means the advancement of the community’s breeding interests.  With his brother he built up one of the finest herds of purebred Holsteins in the state and as dairymen the Imig Bros. have more than a local reputation.  Mr. and Mrs. Imig will make their home on the Imig farm north of the city and they start housekeeping with the best wishes of all their friends for their future welfare and happiness.  Mrs. C.H. Imig and children of Rudolph were here for the wedding.
