Jake Schaefer lost a house last Sunday night.  The animal dropped dead without a moment’s warning.

 

Miss Mildred Thorson of Dewhurst re-opened school in district No. 3 last Monday after a two week vacation.

 

Frank Lastofka sold his farm last Monday for $2,700 and intends to go to Milwaukee to live.

 

Wm. Hurlbut shot a wolf last Sunday.

 

Wm. Rogers, Norman Rogers and Noble Adams left Monday for a hunt up near Stanley.

 

Jerry Davis and wife left Monday for Rib Lake on a visit to the former’s sister.

 

There will be meetings in the M.E. Church on Sunday night, conducted by the young people.

 

Rev. Bryan conducted the sacrament in the M.E. Church last Sunday afternoon.

 

Wm. Fulwiler was over from Harris Landing last Friday.

 

Jay and Dave Davis have returned to this place.

 

Mr. A. Benedict’s house took fire Monday night, but was discovered in time to prevent it from much of any damage.
