Cleary, Doris Loraine (18 April 1920 - 10 July 2011)

Doris, born in Thorp to Mary and Art Soderberg, and sister of Pat, Gerry, Gene and Margie, passed peacefully with her children in attendance.  Doris was Thorp H S valedictorian in 1937, graduated from Wisconsin State Teacher’s College in 1941, and married Robert Cleary in 1947.

She loved life, and shared her generous spirit with numerous friends and musical groups. She is survived by six children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several Thorp related cousins, nieces, and nephews including: Clarice Hubbard, Gerald, Bill, and Jack Glashoff and spouses, Evelyn Ricksham, Don (Kathy) Soderberg, Bill (Susan) Soderberg, Carol (John) Stewart, Denny (Mary Kay) Hastreiter, Gordon (Yvonne) Hastreiter, Bob Kerr, Jerry (Linda) Hastreiter, Ed (Sue) Hastreiter, Debbie Krautbauer, Marcy (Scott) Jaeger and Nancy Soderberg West.  Recently deceased Dean Hubbard of Thorp was a former high school classmate and decades long kin to Doris. Donations can be sent to the Thorp Alumni Association (TAA).
