We cannot help thinking of the wonderful thought displayed in some people’s commencement essay last week some time over the phone.  It’s a poor thing to lose sleep over, but some folks can never keep their mouth shut.  (It wasn’t said "that you can’t keep your mouth shut".)  You would judge from that essay that was as much interested in the subservience of individual ambition to eternal destiny as is ice cream soda.  But isn’t."

Heathville played Heintown a game of ball Sunday which resulted 4 to 10 in favor of the former.

Andrew Heath came very near buying his neighbor’s 20 acre farm.  The latter wanted to reserve part of the cellar and two-thirds of the wall, so the bargain wasn’t made.

An automobile party consisting of Martin, Willie and Fred Dankemyer, Abel Harding and the writer took in the baseball game at Heintown last Sunday.  The ride was greatly appreciated by all. The roads were in fine shape and the distance which is about 8 miles was made by Martin, the driver, in about 27 minutes according to the speedometer.  The entire trip was made without a fizzle and we give all the credit to old August, the owner of the car.

Mr. and Mrs. Jay Brown are the proud possessors of a ten pound boy.  In a few more years Jay can boast of a baseball nine of his own or on the other hand they can dance two sets and have a fiddler.

Sherman Davis sold his two colts to a party near Loyal for $250.00.

Wellie Davis is now working for the R. R. Co. at Chili.
