Foemmel’s Corner (20 May 1910)

John Pietenpol and family Sundayed at Truman Davis’

Al Nonhof and family attended the confirmation exercise at the German Lutheran church.

Mrs. Geo. Frei Sr. died at the home of his son Geo. last week Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock.  The funeral was held at the house Saturday afternoon and the remains were interred in the Windfall Cemetery.

Frank Davis and wife took dinner with Truman Davis Wednesday.

A nice little rain visited us Monday and Tuesday which was very welcome.

Mr. Cawkins who is assisting John Pietenpol in his work spent Sunday with his family near Shortville.

Talk about Doc Wonser’s hat being too small just take a look at Harry Cattanah’s and look at that barrel hoop that couldn’t hold him since his wife presented him with a big fat boy on the 17th of May.

Quite a few from here took in the circus at Neillsville Monday.

Mrs. Lois Fulwiler spent several days the first of the week with relatives here.

Geo. Huntley and wife visited in York Sunday.

Geo. Root has his barn basement completed and will move the barn onto it some day this week.

Wonder if it was a mistake in print or wasn’t the Romadka correspondent acquainted with John Robinson’s wife that it came out in the paper as Miss Erna Jaden instead of Ina Yates.
