Michael, Lucille G. (8 JUN 1944)

Miss Lucille Grace Michael, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Michael of Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Ervin Giese, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Giese of Alma Center, were united in marriage on Thursday evening, June 8, 1944, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Alma Center.  The Rev. E.A. Klemp performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a navy blue two-piece suit with white accessories, and a corsage of tea roses and sweet peas.  Her attendant, Mrs. Elton Giese, sister-in-law of the groom, wore a sky blue dress with white accessories and a corsage similar to that of the bride’s.

The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Elton Giese, both wearing conventional dark blue suits with carnation boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother wore a black crepe dress and the groom’s mother wore a navy blue sheer with American Beauty roses.

Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Herbert Borchardt played the Lohengrin wedding march.  Immediately following the ceremony the young couple left on a short trip to the southern part of the state.
