Thorson, Kathleen Ann (Marriage - 14 April 1962)

Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee was the setting for the marriage Saturday of Miss Kathleen Ann Thorson and John E. Jalling. Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thorson of Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. John Jalling of Withee.

The altar was adorned with baskets of aqua and yellow chrysanthemums and white snapdragons.  Officiating was the Rev. Byrl Knudsen of Withee.

As the bride walked down the church aisle with her father, who gave her in marriage, she was attired in a chapel length gown of embroidered nylon organza, style with a scalloped Sabrina neckline.  The full bouffant skirt was fashioned with tiers that came to the back and were held with a bow.  A scalloped lace crown, studded with pearls and crystal peaks, held the scalloped veil edged with seed pearls.  Her bridal bouquet consisted of stephanotis and yellow and aqua carnations, centered with a white orchid.

Miss Nona Paulson, Eau Claire, was made of honor.  Bridesmaids were Miss Bonnie Peterson of Eau Claire and Miss Linda Jalling of Withee.

Jim Carlson, Minneapolis, Minn., was best man. Groomsmen were Bob Erickson of Minneapolis and David Mattes of Milwaukee.  Ushers were Denny Christopherson of Thorp and John Gehrke of Eau Claire.

The ceremony was followed by a reception in the parish hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Jalling left on a wedding trip to upper Michigan.
