Gibson Gile and Leslie Sherman were up from Merrillan Tuesday evening to attend Masonic Lodge.

 

E.W. Johnson, F.E. Moore and L.L. Briggs attended a meeting of the railway employees at Eau Claire last Sunday.

 

Mrs. B. J. Stallard spent last week in Minneapolis with her son, Major A.V. Stallard and family.

 

Dr. S.G. Schwarz attended the funeral at Marshfield last Thursday of Dr. Walter Sexton, a prominent member of the Marshfield Clinic.  Burial was under military auspices.

 

Friends of Mrs. E.E. Moore of Merrillan, regret greatly to learn that she suffered a hip fracture while at Black River Falls Tuesday afternoon.  She is a patient at the Krohn Hospital.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Blang Sr. returned Monday evening from a week’s visit with their daughters at LaPorte.

 

Mrs. Nora Moore of Sycamore, Ill. was a visitor with her father, W.A. McMillan, the last of the week, and also visited with friends in Neillsville.  Mr. McMillan accompanied her to Richland Center, where he is visiting his sister, Mrs. Ethel Armstrong.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Noel left Tuesday forenoon on a 1500 mile auto trip to Melrose, Mass., to visit their son, Lt. Wm. Noel and family.  They expect to be gone about three weeks.  Hartwig Nelson and wife have charge of the hotel and tavern while Mr. and Mrs. Noel are away.

 

Robert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theo Scholze of the town of Cleveland (Jackson Co.), suffered an elbow fracture in a fall from a horse, one day first of the week.  Dr. Schwarz attended the injury.
