Stallard, Henry (Leaves after 75 years - DEC 1941)
Henry Stallard has left Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.) after a residence of seventy-five years in this vicinity. He made this decision after some infirmities of advancing age came upon him and also owing to illnesses which have afflicted him during the past year or more, and inadvisability of his trying to continue to live alone. Mr. Stallard came to this vicinity with his parents when about five years of age. He lived on the farm west of town until reaching manhood, and lived in this village for many years, following the trades of carpenter and mason, in which he was quite expert. Up to a couple of years ago he was very active and would knock out more work in a day than many men half his age. He has taken his tools and workbench and expects to do a "bit of tinkering. " Mr. Stallard says that his new address is 1422 Menomonie St., Eau Claire, but Humbird is "home."
Mr. and Mrs. John Stallard of Eau Claire were here Monday and completed moving his father household effects to that city.
