Nibbe, Dorothy (28 MAY 1941)

Fall Creek was the scene of a very happy wedding ceremony, when Miss Dorothy Nibbe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nibbe, became the bride of Mr. Alvin Bryner, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bryner, at 3:00 o’clock last Wednesday afternoon, May 28th, 1941, the Rev. Fritzmeier officiating.

The bride was attired in a floor length gown of pink embroidered organdy and wore a white fingertip veil, and carried a prayer book, gift of the groom.  She was attended by her sister, Miss Genevieve, who wore a similar gown, blue in color, a blue coronet, and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations.

Burton Winscher, cousin of the groom, acted as best man.  He wore a suit of oxford gray, while the groom was attired in a navy blue suit.

After the ceremony the bridal party returned to the groom’s home where a wedding supper awaited them.  In the evening the bride and groom entertained their many friends with a wedding dance.  Despite inclement weather, a fair sized crowd turned out to congratulate the young couple.

The happy young people are both graduates of our local (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.) high school, the groom being a member of the class of ’32, and the bride a member of the class of ’38.

The newlyweds will make their home with the groom’s parents for the present.  All their friends and relatives join in wishing them a happy married life together.
