Retzer, Rosemary J. (24 SEP 1927 - 1 MAY 2011)

OWEN -- Rosemary J. Retzer, 83, of Owen died May 1, 2011, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.

Graveside services will be at a later date in Brooklawn Cemetery in the town of Richfield, rural Marshfield, Wood County.

Rosemary was born Sept. 24, 1927, in Brighton, to Clarence and Marie (Peets) Retzer. From 1945 to 1947, she was a cook and dishwasher at a restaurant in Wisconsin Rapids, for 16 years she worked for Mirro Aluminum in Manitowoc and 16 years for Huebsch Laundry in Eau Claire, then moving to Marshfield working at Retzer Oil Co. for 11 years as a station attendant. The last six years of her employment was at the Clark County Health Care Center as a meal assistant.

She is survived by her brother, Joseph C. (Phyllis) Retzer of Owen; sisters, Dorothy (Michael) Pitts of Owen and June Ann Harris of Milwaukee.
