Raasch, Louis (21 APR 1904 - 30 MAY 1959)

 

Funeral services for Louis A. Raasch, 55, town of Maplehurst (Taylor Co., Wis.), who died at Medford Hospital Saturday after being ill the past three years, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Ruesch Funeral Home with the rev. A.E. Aden officiating.  Burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery.

 

Mr. Raasch was born in the town of Holway on April 21, 1904, and attended school there.  He was a cheesemaker for a number of years before becoming a stone mason.  In 1938 he purchased a tavern in the town of Maplehurst, which he operated until his death.

 

His marriage to Esther Nelson took place on Dec. 1, 1928.  She survives him.

 

Other survivors are two sons, Harvey, Milwaukee, and Ronald, in the U.S. Navy; one daughter, Mrs. Wesley (Shirley) Becken, Willmar, Minn.; one grandchild; a brother, Harry Raasch, California; three sisters, Mrs. Rachel Seegar, Milwaukee; Mrs. Oscar Olson, Withee, and Mrs. Albert Krueger, Medford, and his mother, Mrs. Theresa Raasch.
