Ott, Edna Mae (16 NOV 1886 - 4 DEC 1958)

 

Mrs. Edna Mae Ott of Dahl Street in Stanley passed away at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 1958, at Victory Hospital in Stanley following a short illness.

 

She was born Edna Bobb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter E. Bobb of Zephyr Hills, Fla., now deceased, in Richland Center, Wis.  When a small child they moved to Reseburg, Clark County (Wis.), where her father was in the lumbering and farming business.

 

She attended Thorp High School and graduated in 1900, and also attended Ladysmith Normal and taught school for six years.  In 1910 she was united in marriage to Elias Ott, then of North Dakota.  They moved to Reseburg on a farm until 1926, when they moved to Stanley.  She had lived in that community until the time of her death.

 

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lilah) Miller of Saukville, Wis., Iona McGeaugh of Genoa City, Wis., Mrs. Ray (Merle) Missling; one brother, John Bobb of Zephyr Hills, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Ray Briggs of Hayward, Mrs. Ray Bolt of Zephyr Hills, Fla., Mrs. Roy McQuire of Middleton, Pa., and Mrs. Maude Strnard of Milwaukee; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956, also one brother and one sister have passed away.

 

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, W.S.C.C. Society and the Stanley Methodist Church.

 

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2:00 p.m. from the Methodist Church.  Harold Isenberger sang "Have Thine Owen Way" and "In the Garden."  Rev. Cecil ward officiated.

 

Relatives attended from Milwaukee, Kenosha, Saukville, Genoa City, Wheeling, Ill., Hayward, Marshfield, Bruce, Withee, Thorp, Cadott, also many friends.

 

Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery at Withee.
